BioCool frum girl, 25, mom to a 2.5 year old princess, married to the bestest husband.
French and proud, living b'h in a not-perfect-but-great community to raise my little family after a very long hunt, master graduate who finally completed a thesis about Yiddish in American English. :)
You may have met me online, Jewish sites, Facebook, Frumspace, and (too) many others - unless it was at shul or at university, or because your uncle is a friend of my grandmother's cousin ;). Whatever, I would be happy to hear from you. I'm a stay at home mom in a place where it's just not common so I love company ;)
What is my blog about? Everything, from every day life to philosophical concepts (ok, not THAT often).
My baby, my husband, my family in France/Israel/NY/Belgium/Netherlands/Australia/Poland/Greece/Italy, university, life in a huge frum community, growing up an Orthodox Jew out of town, being a frum Ashkenazi on a continent where we are a disappearing species, my favorite websites, my nutty thyroid, my chassidish roots plus the lone Sefardi branch, Jews in France and Europe, my life as an ex professional (opera & Jewish) singer, going out in Paris, my book store, tv, make up, genealogy, getting a driving license (boy do I need a kick in the beeeep), food, my studies (successively economics, sociology, politics, theater and English - I am in my 8th year of university)), my husband's work (press) and learning (finished Mishna Brura), Modern Orthodox vs Litvish (fun fun fun?), having a hard time adapting to being a quarter of a friggin century old, being a matchmaker (shadchan/shadchanit/shadchantes) and recently starting off as a shidduch/dating coach, and many others. Just see my list of interests.
I'm generally a pretty happy bubbly person, but don't judge a book by its cover, some of my posts can and do reflect the reality of life as a child of Holocaust survivor, for example, the eternal "why do bad things happen to good people and good things to bad people" questions, and all the things that go with it. Don't worry most disturbing topics will be notified as such on popular demand, don't wanna shock or depress anyone unwilling ;)
Pics of us and videos (engagement, baby naming, etc) are all on Facebook. Comment in my journal and there should be no reason I will refuse to friend you, here or on Facebook. I love meeting people from all types of background and ways of life. It's the only way to grow and know.
Unless you are "one of those", but then you probably know better than to try to friend me...
